Asbestos awareness for Western Power personnel
This Asbestos awareness training will provide employees with basic knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with asbestos, routes of exposure, where asbestos containing materials could be found, and how to safely manage removal and disposal of bonded Asbestos in accordance with Safety Health and Environment Management System requirements.

Who Should Attend
All employees who may directly or indirectly be exposed to Asbestos.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this training.
Learning Outcomes
As a result of attending this course participants should be able to:
- Understand types and potential sources of asbestos
- Understand relevant management system documents and legislation
- Understand health risks of asbestos
- Implement control measures for removing, storing, transporting and disposing of asbestos
- Undertake incident reporting
