This course provides training on how to use FMS Operator Console to dispatch work orders to field crews for completion.

Who Should Attend

Western Power Operational Maintenance personnel who dispatch work orders to field crews for Distribution and Transmission, and WP staff who use FMS including:
1. New users to FMS2 (e.g. depot starting to use system for the first time)
2. Current users of FMS2 who require formal training

Prerequisites

The prerequisites for attendance at this course are:

  • Basic computer skills
  • An understanding of work schedules and work types

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this training, participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of Western Power’s business requirements for using FMS Operator Console
  • Customise FMS Operator Console using filters
  • Use FMS Operator Console to:

o Dispatch work orders to field crews
o Allocate and deallocate work orders
o Takeback and reschedule jobs
o View work order information and completed jobs
o Attach documents after the Work Order has been dispatched

  • Demonstrate an understanding of key benefits of using FMS Operator Console
  • Access help when required

PTSWA training room standards apply:
