Perform rescue from a live LV panel - recognition of current competency

This assessment will assess participants' competency in performing rescue procedures from live low voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace.
Course Duration
2 – 3 hours
Who Should Attend
This is the annual refresher for workers who hold the LV Panel Rescue authorisation.
Prerequisites
The prerequisites for attendance at this course are:
- Network Authority Card (NAC)
- HLTAID001 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- UETTDRRF06 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel (PTS838)
Note: All prerequisites need to be current.
Learning Outcomes
As a result of attending this course participants should be able to:
- preparing to perform rescue procedures from live LV panel
- carrying out rescue from live LV panel
- completing the LV panel rescue procedure
PPE/PPC & Equipment Requirements
- PPE Level 1*
- Minimum 500 V rated gloves (LV gloves)
- If undertaking this assessment at a depot, the client must provide their own LV rescue kit*

Assessments
Written and practical assessments are included in the course.
Participants will need to demonstrate the required knowledge and the necessary practical skills in line with the learning outcomes.
