This course provides an understanding of what pilot cables are and where they are used. It defines who manages and operationally controls the pilot network. The course will explain why pilot cables are dangerous, and will identify the safety measures employed to minimise the risks while working on pilots. The course will also highlight the requirements when accessing cables and associated circuits. Content of the course covers the fundamental testing requirements and the documentation relating to pilots.
