Team effectiveness & Effective workplace relationships

Provides skills and knowledge to lead effective workplace relationships and lead team effectiveness.

This course addresses two units from the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.

Course Duration

3 days (plus 1 day Assessment Support Workshop – optional)

Who Should Attend

Formal leaders who are responsible for supervising others in the workplace and managing the day-to-day operations of a team.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites, however it is recommended that you have:

  • capacity to perform team leadership and supervision responsibilities in the workplace
  • a relatively high-level reading and writing ability (e.g. capable of preparing and documenting work plans for the team)
  • sound computer skills.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this course participants should be able to:

  • Working effectively with others
  • Planning team activities and supervising the performance of a team
  • Using leadership skills to promote team cohesion

PPE/PPC & Equipment Requirements

  • smart casual attire (no shorts)

Assessments

Written and practical assessments, consisting of:

  • Assessment questions to be completed during the course
  • Third party report from supervisor confirming practical application of competencies in the workplace.
  • Post-course assessment including:
    • Structured tasks / activities to provide evidence of the application of promoting team effectiveness and building effective workplace relationships.
    • Answers to questions about practical application of key components of the course

You will have 3 months to complete your assessment after attendance at the course.

Certification

A Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of individual units of competency
