Safety Leaders

This module is an interactive 2 day, facilitator led workshop aimed at engaging the participants in the foundations of safety leadership.

Who Should Attend

Core module under the Safety Leadership Program and is mandatory for permanent Western Power employees. Specifically, Team Coordinators, Field Supervisors, Team Leaders and Area Managers. May also be relevant to emerging leaders.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this course participants should be able to:
*Understand their role as a Safety Leader
*Understand Visible Felt Leadership principles and characteristics
*Develop the capability to engage their team in effective safety discussions and good safety behaviours

PPE/PPC & Equipment Requirements

PTS training room standards:

• smart casual attire (no shorts)
• enclosed footwear
• Hi-vis vest & safety helmet will be required for field component

Note: Power Training Services does not provide PPE, PPC and tools for training courses.

Assessments

There are no formal assessments or written tests.

Certification

There is no certification.
