Identifying, assessing and controlling hazards associated with manual tasks within the workplace, including the necessary skills and techniques required to stop and assess work place activities to reduce the impact on the body.

Western Power staff involved in manual task processes in the workplace.

  • Discuss risk factors associated with manual tasks
  • Assess risk factors
  • Identify methods to control risks associated with manual tasks
  • Address correct manual handling techniques

PPE/PPC & Equipment Requirements

PTSWA training room standards apply:

  • smart casual attire (no shorts)
  • enclosed footwear

Assessments

Written and practical assessments are included in the course.
Participants will need to demonstrate the required knowledge and the necessary practical skills in line with the learning outcomes.
Participants will not be considered to have completed this course until all assessments have been completed to a satisfactory level.

Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of the course
