AMI Deployment Tool – Universal Field Client

This course provides training on how to use Universal Field Client (UFC) to access and complete service orders for Metering.

Who Should Attend

Western Power Field Crew and external contractors (Netspark) who complete service orders for Metering, in the field.

Prerequisites

Participants must have a basic understanding of how to use a Toughpad and basic computer literacy skills.
A Basic use of Toughpad (2hr) course is available and must be completed prior to attending this course, for participants with no experience with computers or Toughpads.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this course participants should be able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the ‘Execute Work’ business process
• Demonstrate an understanding of roles and responsibilities for the business process
• Navigate the basic functionality of UFC on the toughpad device
• Use UFC to:

***Complete mandatory fields and capture data
***Understand job statuses, warnings and alarms
***Assess job site and execute work based on instructions
***Understand reallocation of jobs and no work/actions
***Access and complete required job forms
***Record GPS location
***Use camera and upload photos
***Add and use forms and attachments

• Access help when required

PPE/PPC & Equipment Requirements

PPE Level 0 including:

• long-sleeved shirt and long trousers
• enclosed, flat footwear (must provide full protection of foot, ie not sneaker or canvas shoes)

Other

Toughpads upgraded to Windows 10, and Mobile Device app downloaded on the device, are required for training.
Data and training environment must be refreshed prior to training delivery.
