Western Power Holistic Inspection

This 7 day course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to be a Western Power’s authorised Holistic Inspector (full, visual, visual plus or vegetation).

Who Should Attend

This course is suitable for people who are required to inspect Western Power’s poles and overhead assets.

Prerequisites

The prerequisites for attendance at this course are:

• XCARD – Western Power Network Authority Card (NAC)

Note: All prerequisites need to be current.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this course participants should be able to:

• Understand the relevance and criticality of the Holistic Inspection role
• Carry out full Holistic Inspection process

PPE/PPC & Equipment Requirements

Some of the practical training for this course will take place in an operational area. You are required to have/provide Western Power approved PPC and PPE requirements for the practical work. Refer to the Western Power PPE Procedure Sections 3.1 & 3.2, for these requirements.

Note: Power Training Services does not provide PPE, PPC and tools for training courses.

Assessments

Written and practical assessments are included in the course.
Participants will need to demonstrate the required knowledge and the necessary practical skills in line with the learning outcomes.
Participants will not be considered to have completed this course until all assessments have been completed to a satisfactory level.
