Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) is an online assessment process for anyone who holds a unit of competency that has been superseded or replaced by a new unit. When a unit of competency is replaced or superseded, many employers require their current and prospective employees and contractors to hold the current, updated unit of competency for the equipment they are operating.

Who Should Attend
This online RCC (Recognition of Current Competency) is designed for workers who want to upgrade a superseded unit of competency to the current unit of competency, TLILIC4009A Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes). This unit is based upon the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.
Note: Not for public enrolment; application for enrolment in this assessment will only be considered for eligible Western Power staff
Prerequisites
The prerequisites for attendance at this course are:
- Hold a current High Risk Licence for Slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes).
- You will need to provide a copy of your current High Risk Licence and your existing Statement of Attainment for enrolment into the assessment.
Note: All prerequisites need to be current.
Learning Outcomes
As a result of completing the assessment participants will:
Have their knowledge evaluated to determine that it is current and sufficient to meet the new Unit of Competency.
Assessment
This is a 30 – 45 minute online assessment.
Certification
Statement of Attainment for TLILIC4009A Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes).

Once your enrolment is complete you will be emailed instructions and a link to allow you to complete the assessment.
