Perform pole top rescue - recognition of current competency

This assessment will assess participants' competency in performing pole top rescue procedures in the workplace.

Course Duration

4 hours

Who Should Attend

Overhead workers who hold the Pole Top Rescue authorisation and require an annual refresher.

Prerequisites

The prerequisites for attendance at this course are:

• Network Authority Card (NAC)
• UETTDRRF02 – Perform pole top rescue (PTS837)
• HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Note: All prerequisites need to be current.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this course participants should be able to:

• Prepare to perform pole top rescue
• Carry out pole top rescue
• Complete the pole top rescue procedure

PPE/PPC & Equipment Requirements

• PPE Level 1
• Fall arrest harness and pole strap
• Minimum 500 V rated gloves (LV gloves).

Assessments

Written and practical assessments are included in the course.
Participants will need to demonstrate the required knowledge and the necessary practical skills in line with the learning outcomes.
