This five day course will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes) for licensing purposes.

Who Should Attend
This course is suitable for people who wish to work with or operate mobile slewing cranes with a capacity of up to 60 tonnes.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course however a Licence to perform dogging or Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane is an advantage.
Learning Outcomes
As a result of attending this course participants should be able to:
- Plan work
- Conduct routine checks
- Set up crane
- Transfer load
- Configure mobile load
- Shut down and secure crane
PPC/PPE & Equipment Requirements
- All candidates MUST be over 18 and provide identification. Preferably, one will provide proof of age and have the candidate’s photo, for example:
- 1. Driver’s licence or passport
- 2. Medicare card, or credit / ATM card
- All candidates must provide their Unique Student Identifier (USI) to complete enrolment on the day of attendance
The practical training for this course will take place in an operational environment. You are required to have/provide Western Power approved PPC and PPE requirements for the practical work. Refer to the Western Power Work Practice Manual Sections 3.1-3.4, for these requirements.
Note: Power Training Services does not provide PPE, PPC and tools for training courses.
Assessments
Assessments are included in this course. Participants will not be considered to have completed this course until all assessments have been completed to a satisfactory level.
When deemed competent a statement of attainment for TLILIC4009A Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes) will be awarded. Once this has been attained, participants can apply for a high risk work licence to operate a slewing crane.
