Who Should Attend

People who are in operational roles where there is a requirement to enter and work in confined spaces and who have previously completed confined space training.

Prerequisites

The prerequisites for attendance at this course are:
Completion of Confined Space training (RIIWHS202D – Enter and work in confined spaces) within the previous 3 years.

Note: All prerequisites need to be current.

Course Includes

  • applicable legislation and confined space procedures
  • definitions and types of confined spaces
  • hazard identification and risk management procedures
  • hazardous atmospheres including gas monitoring techniques
  • isolation, purging, ventilation; permits and authority
  • roles and responsibilities of team including standby
  • rescue equipment and procedures
  • industry case studies

PPE/PPC & Equipment Requirements

PPE Level 1, including steel cap boots
