People who drive HR vehicles as part of their job role at Western Power

Prerequisites

The prerequisites for attendance at this course are:
A valid heavy rigid (HR) drivers licence – you will be required to show your licence to the training provider on the day of training.

Note: All prerequisites need to be current.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this course participants should be able to:

  • safely drive a HR vehicle
  • systematic and efficient control of all vehicle functions
  • monitoring of traffic and road conditions
  • management of vehicle condition and performance
  • effective management of hazardous situations.

PPE/PPC & Equipment Requirements

PTSWA training room standards apply:

  • smart casual attire (no shorts)
  • enclosed footwear
  • Dependant on the location of your training, you may be required to provide a HR vehicle.
