(HR) Depots FS Slugger Unconscious Bias Workshops

Join FS “Slugger” and his WP mates as they deal with Unconscious Bias in the Workplace. This is an introduction to Diversity and Inclusion and building awareness of unconscious bias in the workplace.

This program uses a theatrical play, the workshop mixes a theatrical play, group reflection, teaching and small group practice on recognising biases and calling out inappropriate behaviours, uncovering unconscious bias, committing to personal behavioural change and skills to help call out behaviours.

Learning outcomes

  • Define the 5 types of unconscious bias;
  • Overview of unconscious bias and the types of behaviours it manifests in our workplace;
  • Reflection on participants own possible bias and triggers;
  • Overview of the methods required to tackle and overcome bias in the workplace and beyond;

REGIONAL DEPOT SESSIONS We are in the process of scheduling and finalising dates – in the interim if your depot is not listed please add your name to the waitlist for this course and we will contact you once dates and locations have been confirmed.

Please note There will be no catering provided for any of these sessions. You can bring your own food and refreshments to any session, there are kitchen facilities at all sites. For those attending sessions at Perth office food and refreshments can be purchased from the Mercato Cafe. For those attending a session at Prinsep Road, Jandakot depot you will be able to purchase food and coffee from vans that attend the site.

Cancellation Policy

The cost of this course is met through your Function’s budget.
• If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking through OnCourse within 7 working days to avoid your HoF receiving notification of the course cost.
• Approval from your formal leader is required before your booking can be confirmed. Please send the approval email to inclusion@westernpower.com.au
• If the minimum class number is not reached, the workshop will be cancelled.
• Participants will be notified asap and offered an alternative date.
