(HR) Western Power 1 Day General Induction

The Western Power 1 day General Induction is held on the third week of every month of the year and is aimed at providing new personnel with a face to face, interactive introduction to our Workplace Culture, Values and key information designed to empower them to feel a sense of belonging, have a rudimentary work-ready focus and to be safety-conscious.

Course duration

7.5 hours

Who Should Attend

All New Starter Personnel as assigned by the HR Recruitment Team including;

• New Formal Leaders
• Employees
• Embedded Contractors

Recommended;

• Fee-for-Service Contractors & Consultants contracted for more than 3 months
• Vacation and work placements personnel
• Those returning to the business after an extended absence – Parental Leave, Sick Leave, Long-Service Leave, returning New Hires

Prerequisites

Regional New starters may be required to delay their attendance to coincide with Technical Training schedules at PTS. Formal Leaders to liaise with PTS to arrange dates to suit.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge gained during this workshop is designed to enable new personnel to further assimilate and adjust to their new workplace environment by;

• Providing an improved experience for new starters and their Hiring Managers
• Enhance the employer Brand
• Reduce lead time for new starters to be engaged and fully productive in their new roles
• Encourage active participated in group discussions and reflect on the learning and ask questions
• Provide an opportunity to encourage Networking with other new starters.

The induction training is conducted in conjunction with the Western Power online eLearning training.
