(HR) Disability Awareness Theatre-Style Workshop
This course has no current classes. Please join the waiting list.
The program focuses on providing participants with real-life exposure and practice in what it’s like to live with various disabilities. We do this by taking participants through a series of activities all of which simulate the limitations of various conditions.
We integrate stories from one or two people living with disabilities to allow participants to hear directly from those with lived experience and give participants the chance to ask questions they may have always wanted to ask.
We integrate a number of informational segments including;
• Legislation;
• Western Power policies and procedures and;
• use of appropriate language.
This workshop will be co-facilitated by Amanda who wheelchair bound due to her quadriplegic cerebral palsy.
