(HR) Ariba - purchase requisitioner - new user

This 2 hour course aims to educate attendees on the Ariba Procure to Pay (P2P) module, which is designed to make direct purchasing with our contracted suppliers easier, more efficient and more transparent. The course content will include using the Ariba catalogue, creating non-catalogue items, raising purchase requisitions, receipting goods and approval of invoices.

Who Should Attend

Western Power employees or embedded / fixed term contractors who are nominated requisitioners and who are required to create purchase requisitions and / or approve invoices as part of their role at Western Power.

Prerequisites

  • basic computer skills and knowledge of the Ariba P2P process
  • previous completion of Ariba P2P e-Learning modules would be an advantage. Refer to the Ariba P2P page in Busbar

Note: This course is not a general purchasing course, but focuses specifically on how to purchase using the Ariba network.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this course participants will:

  • gain knowledge of Western Power’s business commerce network Ariba
  • be able to navigate the Ariba P2P environment
  • be able to raise, approve and receipt requisitions in Ariba
  • understand how to find and manage purchase orders in Ariba
  • be able to undertake invoice exception reconciliations

Instructor led, interactive and hands-on with each attendee having access to a computer. Attendees will be guided through the course content and practical activities by an experienced trainer.
